Warehouse Coordinator (Texas Plant)
As we begin to open our new Texas plant, we are in need of a Warehouse Coordinator as soon as possible. We have great benefits, and competitive pay. This is a Monday-Friday, full-time position.
We usually respond within three days
General
• This position works in coordination with Warehouse Operations Manager, Technical/Plant support staff (Supervisors), Operations Managers, Purchasing, Planning, Supervisors, and other team members to support the development of all warehouse and materials operation’s needs.
• Support our customers, suppliers, employees and production by maintaining and growing processes to improve safety, on time delivery, quality, and cost.
• Carry out the work per the standard work documentation, teachings, or tribal knowledge available. We want you to be successful by working in the most beneficial way for the company in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Be a good example regarding work ethic, attendance, safety and quality for employees and colleagues.
• Accountable for accuracy of all products and materials outgoing utilizing processes developed by Purchasing and other departments.
• Maintain accurate inventory information in the database for in Process and Finished goods. Including location, quantity, part descriptions, and other details required for operations.
• Continuously give your ideas where we can improve the safety and visual management of the warehouse and production area.
• Audit any pieces of equipment or tooling you use to maintain operation per OEM specifications (specific items related to the Materials and Warehouse).
Daily
• Attend and participate in the morning meetings with employees at shift change.
• Support the process to execute the shipping documentation and trucking scheduling.
• Support and execute the Shipping/Receiving documentation requirements and flow of paperwork.
• Ensure outgoing materials are being reported correctly and timely per the standard work instructions.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Support the lot traceability steps and complete documentation per the standard work or instructions provided.
• Support the audit process to verify all company forklifts used to move materials have a up to date (Daily) inspection documented; Request any repairs or maintenance to the Operations/Warehouse Manager to schedule.
• Support and help improve organization of materials and products in warehouse, utilizing effective and efficient use of space.
• Support the training needs for new team members in your team.
• Safely operate forklift or other equipment you are utilizing.
• Follow standard work to support warehouse floor/aisles cleanliness expectations as well as material expectations for what should be delivered to the day bins.
Weekly
• Support the daily morning meeting (9am).
• Verify any direct team members timecards (physically or electronically) and deliver to Production supervisor for final approval as requested.
Long term
• Be supportive and help improve and organize working, production/ warehouse area (6S).
• Be supportive and help by giving ideas to Improve productivity and reduce scrap rate.
• Be aware of Quality issues and be open to sharing any ideas to improve quality.
Physical Demands/Requirements
• Must be able to stand, stoop, reach, grasp, sit or stand for long periods of time, and lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs safely.
• Noise level in materials area at times can be loud.
• Must be willing and able to abide by all safety policies.
• Non-climate-controlled plant environment; standard hazards within a manufacturing plant where safety precautions and personal protective equipment must be maintained at all times.
Requirements
• Ability to become certified and operate a variety of forklifts.
• 0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Positive attitude for others to follow.
• Awareness and willingness to learn about safety and quality.
• Ability to communicate issues to others on your team and leadership verbally or in writing at times.
• Ability to perform basic computer skills with Office 365 and wiliness to learn company MRP/ERP system and processes.
• Knowledge of warehousing and stock control methods and procedures helpful.
